Joseph “Roc” King, 67, of Philadelphia, formally of Yeadon, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
He was the son of the late James E. and Rita T. (nee Hilbert) King, and brother to the late Theresa Wileczek.
Survivors: His siblings, James King (James O'Toole), Maureen Hall (Chuck), and Kathleen Griffiths (Chalie), nieces, Kathy, Joyce, Alicia, and Grace, nephews, CJ, Tom, and Chas, and his brother-in-law, Todd Wileczek.
Roc was a Philadelphia sports fan, but most of all he was a life-long super fan of the Philadelphia Flyers. He loved bowling. He was an avid walker, once making a trek from Philly all the way to Springfield to show up on a whim at his sister’s house.
Services will be private.
Final Place of Rest: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
In lieu of flowers, Roc’s family suggests a donation be made in his name to the charitable projects by the Philadelphia Flyers at https://www.nhl.com/flyers/community/flyers-charities/.
