Joseph Shannon Obituary

Joseph P. Shannon, 78, passed away on July 28, 2018. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he moved to Havertown 45 years ago. An insurance agent for 55 years, he was loved and respected by his clients for his caring nature and attention to their needs. Joe’s love of his family was the forefront of his life. He was an avid pool shooter spending many hours kicking butt at Drexeline. His Harley Fatboy was his second wife and he would ride every chance he got.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Cornellius and Amelia Shannon, and his son, Michael Trageser. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Robyn Derrickson Shannon, his daughters, Michelle Bilyeu and Karyn Beck, and his son, Joseph P. Shannon, Jr. Joe is also survived by 4 grandaughters, a grandson, his brothers, Donald and Dennis Shannon, sisters Patricia Cleary and Kathy Deibert.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Prayer Service at 10:30 AM, Saturday, August 4th at the Logan Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083 where friends may call 9:30-10:30 AM at the funeral home also. Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery, Marcus Hook, PA.
