Joseph J. Hall of Philadelphia died on May 18, 2023 surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, he lived there all his life. He was a proud member of the Mummers, most recently with Quaker City String Band and previously with Clevemore Fancy Brigade.
He is survived by his children Ryan (Vicky), Kelsey (Jimmy), granddaughter Madeline; sister-in-law Maria (Jack); nieces Michele (Matt), Liz, Meg (Jimmy), nephew Andrew (Chris), great nieces Taylor and Trista, great nephews Tim and Calder, along with many many friends. predeceased by his parents William and Madeline and his siblings Bill, Jack, Madge and Eileen.
He had the gift of making everyone he encountered feel a part of his circle and made every gathering a laugh fest with his quick wit and one liners.
He worked his way up from the shipping department to Director while employed at CIGNA for twenty plus years. He was working at the Social Security Administration for nearly twenty years at the time of his death.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service, 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Notre Dame De Lourdes Church, 950 Michigan Ave, Swarthmore, PA 19081, where friends may call from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM Thursday at the church prior to services.
Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
