John "Jack" M. Daly, Jr., 93, of Broomall, passed away peacefully in Rosewood Gardens on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Marilyn A. (nee Test) Daly. The couple shared 70 years of marriage.
Jack was born in Philadelphia on August 18, 1929, a son of the late John M. Daly, Sr and Florence E. (nee Calland) Williams. Jack was a 1947 graduate of John Bartram High School. He was a former member of Bethany Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. He was an Alum with the Boy Scout Troop #49 and former Boy Scout Leader with Troop #157 in Lansdowne. Jack was an avid sailor and wind surfer and taught youth sailing in Glendale Park, PA. He was also a proud member of the Bay Region Mariners Sailing Association.
Jack was self employed as an electrical contractor and owned John M Daly, Jr. Electric until retiring in 1991.
In addition to his wife, Marilyn of Broomall; Jack is survived by his three sons, Robert C. Daly and his wife, Barbara of Bellwood, PA, Raymond L. Daly and his wife, Donna of East Fallowfield Twp., PA and William T. Daly of Coudersport, PA and daughter-in-law, Susan Broadbent of Altoona, PA; five grandchildren, Jennifer Dolby and her husband, Paul, Jon, Cory and his wife, Amy, Daron and Alesia Daly and two great grandchildren, Chase and Isla Daly.
He is predeceased by his brother, George C. Daly.
Services for Jack will be private and at the convenience of the family.
