John "Chippy" Rocco Tassoni, a long-time resident of Broomall, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2026 after several months of illness. Chip, as he was often know by family and friends, grew up in the Overbrook Park section of Philadelphia, where he eventually married Susan, the love of his life, in 1984 and moved to the Lawrence Park section of Broomall to begin his loving family.
He owned and operated "Precision Landscape and Design" for many years, providing meticulous home and commercial landscaping to his customers. He loved the roar of his 1971 Chevy Nova SS and its 10-second track times almost as much as the quiet moments spent with his wife at their condo in Wildwood. Though he enjoyed many things in life, his grandchildren were absolutely the "apple of his eye" and he never missed a chance to talk about them. He could be stubborn at times, but he had a good heart, always taught his family to be faithful to each other, and made sure his family attended Mass on Sundays.
He is survived by his three sons: John Joseph Tassoni (Caitlin), Anthony Rocco Tassoni (Lauren), and the Rev. Stephen Paolino, his sister Victoria Brown, as well as his four loving grandchildren: Gianna, John Vincent, Nico, and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Susan Tassoni.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9-9:45 A.M. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at at St. Pius X Church (his long time parish), 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by his son, Rev. Stephen Paolino at 10:00 A.M. Interment immediately following at Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA 19064.
In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made in John's memory to St. Pius X Church.
