Jack was dedicated to his country, for which he served as an officer in The Marine Corps. He was devoted to Day and Zimmermann Inc., where he worked for over 40 years, ultimately becoming the company’s first CFO. Jack also was the founder and chairman of Wharton Surety Consultants LLC. He was dedicated to his community, most notably as a charitable alumnus for West Catholic Preparatory High School, and a dependable parishioner of St. Katherine’s. Jack and Mary Pat traveled throughout the United States and visited 6 continents. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, golfing, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Jack’s life was best exemplified by one of his favorite quotes: “It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog”. Jack would like all to remember that it is our duty to serve, “God, family and country.” Once you get to heaven, make sure you set up a lunch or dinner date. He will see you around the campus!
