John P. Czechowicz

John Paul Czechowicz, 54, of Bear, DE, formerly of Elmwood Park, Philadelphia, passed away on Friday June 19, 2026.  

Born on December 2, 1971 in Southwest Philadelphia, John was a son of the late Joseph and Nancy (McNeill) Czechowicz.  He was a deeply devoted and loving father to his son Kaleb D. Hewitt, whose life he enriched with his unwavering love and support.

John spent all of his working career as the Owner / Operator of Eclipse Auto Salon.  He enjoyed riding dirtbikes and wave runners, but his true passion was cars.  In the 38 years of running his own business (established in 1988), John developed many lifelong relationships by being honest and treating people fairly.  His customer base included many professional athletes who also appreciated John’s honesty and integrity.  Above all else, he was a dedicated father to his beloved son, Kaleb.  Nothing brought him greater happiness in the last eleven years than being a father, as this was the role he cherished most.  The love they shared was the most important part of his life.  John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his son Kaleb D. Hewitt and his brother, Joseph G. Czechowicz (Melissa), nephew Joseph G. Czechowicz Jr. (Shannon, Molly Jo and Macey Ann), and niece Nicole M. Czechowicz (Kenneth).

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Monday, June 29th, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Logan-Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. Eulogy and prayers will begin in the funeral home at 12:00pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
