Johanna L. Volz, affectionately known as Jody to all who knew and loved her, completed her earthly journey and entered eternal rest on January 19, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on August 12, 1941, in Philadelphia, PA, Jody spent her final moments surrounded by the love and warmth of her family in West Grove, PA, where she quietly passed away of natural causes.
A woman of deep Christian faith, Jody's life was a testament to the values of love, service, and compassion. She was a beacon of light in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer a kind word. Her career as a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant spanned three decades, during which she brought comfort and care to countless individuals at Dunwoody Village.
Jody's interests and hobbies were a reflection of her loving and spirited nature. She cherished her collection of dolls and lighthouses, each piece a story and memory held dear. Jody found solace in her favorite place of Ocean City, NJ. Sitting on her childhood porch with her sisters.
Jody's life was rich in family and friendships. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald "Pop" Volz, with whom she shared many cherished years. Jody's nurturing spirit will forever be remembered by her sisters, Barbara (Presley) Goodwyn and Linda (preceded by Milton) Reisen, four children, Scott Volz (Mary Ginsburg), Peter Volz (Keri Gleason), Keith Volz (Trish Tames), Sarah Volz (Adam Martin), six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
As we bid farewell to Jody, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey faithfully completed. We take solace in knowing that she is now at peace in the loving embrace of her Creator. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love she gave so freely. Rest in peace, dear Jody, until we meet again.
