Joanne Kopaczewski, age 71, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2025.
Born on August 26, 1953, in Philadelphia, Joanne devoted 33.5 years of her professional life as an Sr. Coordinator at Energy Transfer Philadelphia District. She was known for her strong work ethic, her generous spirit, and her unwavering love for her family.
Joanne was the daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Noreik and was predeceased by her husband, John Kopaczewski, and her sisters Jean Ritchie, and Marie Smith.
Joanne is survived by her loving daughters, Dana (Frank) D’Errico and Allison (Michael) Prokson; her brother, Ray Noreik; and her cherished grandchildren: Daniel, Colin, Christiano, Joshua, Mila, Francesca, and Angelina. She also held a special place in her heart for her beloved grand-dogs.
Family and friends were at the center of Joanne’s life. Her warmth, kindness, and selfless nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She had a heart of gold and always put others before herself.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Saint Gabriel’s Church, 2917 Dickinson Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146 to celebrate her life and the many ways she touched those around her. Visitation will start at 9:30 A.M. and a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 A.M.
