Jerome Cyril McHale Jr., aged 84, of West Chester, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023, in his home surrounded by his family.
Jerry, born on July 2, 1938 in Salisbury, Maryland, to the late Jerome Cyril McHale Sr. and Isabel McHale (née Walker) grew up in South West Philly. He attended Good Shepherd Parish and graduated from West Catholic in 1956. He went on to manage base operations of Atlantic Aviation at Philadelphia International Airport for over 35 years.
He shared over 44 years of marriage with his wife Barbara McHale (née Majewski). Jerry is survived by his seven children: Lynn McNamara (Tim), Susan Simon (Mike), Jerry McHale (KC), Brian McHale (Tina), Tim McHale (Sue), Kate Sager (Ryan), and Dan McHale, along with his dearly loved 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition, his memory will be treasured by his four siblings: Sr. Jerome McHale, IHM, Mike McHale, Marie Claire Woyciechowski (Paul), and Fred McHale (James). He is predeceased by two of his brothers Bill McHale (Mary) and Joe McHale, his sister Pat Scarboro (Bob), his sister-in-law Marlene McHale, and his grandson Casey Seidle.
Outside of Jerry’s love for his family, he also loved to travel. Jerry has visited 48 states of the USA and has been to many countries, including Europe.
Services for Jerry will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Saints Philip and James Catholic Church, 107 N. Ship Road, Exton, Pennsylvania at 11:00 a.m. Visitations will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the church as well. Following mass, there will be an interment at St. Agnes Cemetery in West Chester.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations sent to Camilla Hall, Convent Home & Healthcare Center of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, at 100 Maxis Drive, Malvern, Pennsylvania.
