Janet Mae Carrara, a cherished soul known to many as Janet, completed her earthly journey on January 6, 2026 at the age of 94 in Broomall, PA. Born on August 2, 1931, in the heart of Philadelphia, PA, Janet's life was a testament to the enduring power of faith and love. She was beacon of light and warmth to her family, friends, and her community, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
The daughter of Lillie M. Damiana and William B. Wilson. Her life was enriched by her loving marriages, first to John J. Hall who preceded her in death and later to Alfred T. Carrara who survives her.
Her family was the cornerstone of her life and she was a dedicated homemaker who devoted her life to her children. Janet was a woman of devout Christian faith and her commitment to her beliefs was evident in every aspect of her life.
She was a constant presence at her local church where she found joy in serving and uplifting others. Her creativity shown through activities and her loving spirit made her an integral part of her faith community.
Janet's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband, Alfred, her daughter Deborah A. Bell and son-in-law Leslie Bell, her step son-in-law Jeff Sori, and her daughter Cheryl A. McDuffie and son-in-law Donald M. McDuffie, her grandchildren Grace Sori, Shawn McDuffie, Dani Lyn McDuffie grandson's spouse and Stacey L. Holloway granddaughter, Justin M. Holloway granddaughter's spouse, Sarah Caruso, Nick Caruso granddaughter's spouse have been blessed by Janet's unwavering support and unconditional love. A special thank you to Sarah Caruso and Karen Standen for helping to take care of Janet the last few years.
The light of her life continued to shine through her great grandchildren, Olivia G. Holloway and Raelyn M. McDuffie who brought her immeasurable joy. Those who knew Janet will remember her as a loving, faith filled, and creative soul. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved.

Janet's family will gather on Friday, January 9th 12pm at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, all are invited to join to honor her life and commit her to the Lord's keeping. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her, and her teaching will continue to guide us all on our path. We take solace in the belief that she has been welcomed into eternal rest and we look forward to the day we will be united in the presence of our creator.
