Jane Sharon (Szostak) Agostini, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Wallingford at the age of 83.
Born on September 20, 1942, in Philadelphia, Jane was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Pszalgowski) Szostak. Jane was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Francis Agostini, Jr. They were married for 48 years. Jane was the loving mother of her two children, Vincent J. Agostini, and his wife, Ulrike, and her daughter, Lee S. (Agostini) Melchiorre, and her husband, David. Jane was grandmother to six grandchildren; Nathan, Jack, Ted, Vincent, Natalie and Paige. She is also survived by her sister, Jacqueline Szostak, and John Szostak, husband of the late Diana Szostak.
Jane is a graduate of Nazareth High School. She worked several years at St.Christopher’s Hospital in administration before her children were born. After devoting her love and time to raising her children, Jane returned to school at the age of 43. She completed her bachelor’s degree in marketing at Holy Family University, graduating cum laude. Jane worked at Campbell’s Soup Company, where she served first as a compensation analyst and later in marketing positions. She worked for the company for 13 years.
Jane and Vince loved their Sea Isle home and spent many days on the beach spending time with neighbors, friends and family, riding bikes on the promenade, and going out to dinner. Jane was a fan of old movies on TCM and enjoyed watching Law and Order SVU. She loved the shore, reminiscing about life, going out to dinner, decorating her homes and spending time with her grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest along with her husband Vince at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Springfield, Pennsylvania.
