James J. Merhar

James J. Merhar passed away on April 16, 2025 at the age of 80.  James is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife, Karen (nee Booth) Merhar.  He is survived by his three loving children, Scott (Anne) Merhar, Kevin (Colleen) Merhar, and Kristin (Ryan) Clennan.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren John, Patrick, Brendan, Allison, Kendall, Zachary, Taylor and Lindsey.  Also survived by his loving brother Ken (Linda) Merhar and his nieces, Katie, Erin, and Becky.  

James was a gentle giant with a witty sense of humor.  Whether it was a stop at Nudy's, hanging out with his grandkids, or eating ice cream, James always had the biggest smile on his face.  His love for his alma mater, Michigan State University, was palpable in every conversation you had with him.  He made everybody feel at home, whether you were family or not.  His heart had no bounds when it came to being kind.  

Relatives and friends are invited to an Open House 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Logan Funeral Home, 392 Lancaster Avenue, Malvern, PA  19355 followed by his Memorial Service at 12:00 P.M.
