James Henry Obituary

James (Jim) Patrick Henry, 88, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2021. Son of the late Patrick Henry and Mary (Martin) Henry Jim was born in Philadelphia on May 23, 1933.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sons Kevin John and Shaun Charles; brothers Jack Henry and Charles Henry.  

Jim was the beloved husband to Molly (nee Green); loving father of Steve Henry (Cary) and Madelene Nestor (Bill); and devoted pop-pop to Stephen Jr. and April Henry, Ashley Graham (Alex), Bill Nestor Jr., and Shaun Nestor and his five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Patrick Henry (Janet), sister Margaret Mary Francis, and several nieces and nephews.

Jim served in the US Air Force for 10 years during the Korean War. While stationed at Fairford RAF Base in England he met his future wife Molly. They married and lived in Swindon, England where Jim worked as a private detective.  The family moved to the States in the 70’s where he worked as a manager for the Marriott Corporation and then was head of security at St. Charles Seminary in Wynnewood. After retiring he and Molly moved to Pot Nets Delaware where he took a part time job as a security officer.

Jim was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan; and enjoyed his weekly card night with the guys; and enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Please join his family on Sat. Dec. 4th from 10:00am to 11:00am at Logan Funeral Home 698 E Lancaster Ave. Exton PA 19341 for Visitation and at 11:00am for a celebration of Jim's life.

Burial will be at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
