Isobel H. Beaston

Isobel H. Beaston, age 93, died on April 20, 2025 at Granite Farms Estates in Media PA.

She grew up in Upper Darby and graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1950.  She attended Ursinus College and was later employed at Lankenau Hospital as a Medical Technician. She married her high school sweetheart, Phil Beaston and had two daughters.

Isobel loved sewing, knitting and weaving and gave talks on historic fiber arts. She was active in local historical groups and participated in restoration of several local sites including the Caleb Pusey House and the Collenbrook House Museum.

Isobel was an avid poet, both writing and publishing her poems as well as mentoring other young poets. She was an active member of the Holmes Presbyterian Church as an ordained Elder, Worship Minister and Deacon. She also led the Vacation Bible School  for years and founded the Holmes Folksingers.
She is survived by her two daughters, Beth Beaston-Belsito (LJuca), Sondra Gingerich (Kenneth) and her granddaughter Randi Lynne Cramer (Brad). Family and Friends are invited to her memorial service on May 31 at 11 AM at Holmes Presbyterian Church in Holmes PA.
