Gerald J. "Jerry" O'Connell

Gerald J. “Jerry” O’Connell, 82, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

Jerry was the beloved husband of the late Ruth M. O’Connell (nee Moitz) and brother-in-law to the late Eleanor O’Connell.

He is survived by his children: Matthew J. (Jacqui), Karen L., and Joanne A. Smith (Ben); grandchildren: Jason, Ryan, and Rebecca O’Connell, and Kevin and Rachael Smith; and his siblings: Richard, Thomas (Bonnie), and Susan Pelletier (Jack).

Visitation: Monday, April 3, 2023, from 10-11 am, at Advent Lutheran Church, located at 1601 Green Lane, West Chester, PA 19382.

Memorial Service: Monday, April 3, 2023, at 11 am, at Advent Lutheran Church.

Burial: Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jerry’s name to either Advent Lutheran Church or Alzheimer's Association.
