Gerald Curran Jr., age 55, passed away on January 5, 2022. He was born June 18,1966, in Northeast Philadelphia to the late Gerald Curran Sr. and Roberta Schott Moleski. He was a longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia and relocated to Springfield Delaware county. Jerry was a 1984 graduate of Father Judge High School, and was an accomplished athlete as a football player, earning All Catholic, All City. and winning the 1983 Catholic League Championship. He was a longtime employee of the Jansen division of Johnson and Johnson in Great Valley.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Maureen (nee McCullough) Curran, their children Jerry and Mary; his sisters Karan (Jim) Beaumont, Kathleen Callahan and brother Walt (Melissa) Curran. Nieces Abigail Callahan and Nicole Dangler and nephew Thomas Callahan. He is also survived by the family dog Casey.
Jerry had an extraordinary love for his alma mater and football team. Jerry also loved softball. He was known for his Mack the Knife performance. He especially enjoyed watching his children at their sporting events. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and enjoyed the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies. Jerry was extremely generous and spent his life donating to any cause he could.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9:00 - 10:45 A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Avenue, Springfield, PA 19064 followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. Interment is private.
