George Spangler Loutey, III, 88, of Marple Township passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Born in Philadelphia on May 29, 1936, George was the son of the late George S. Loutey, Jr. and Annette (Ross) Loutey and brother of the late Wayne Loutey.
A dedicated husband, George shared nearly 70 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Cecala) Loutey, whom he married on September 29, 1956. Together, they built a life filled with love and adventure.
George is survived by his granddaughter, Kim, who he raised as a daughter and cherished deeply. He is also survived by his son, George S. Loutey, IV and grandson, Beau. George was predeceased by his daughter, Linda.
An enthusiastic traveler, George enjoyed exploring the world with Elizabeth and Kim, rarely returning to the same destination twice, embracing the thrill of new experiences and cultures. His passion for discovering the world left him with countless memories, and he cherished each adventure with his loved ones by his side.
A man of quiet strength and deep devotion to his family, George will be remembered for his warmth, wit, and dedication to those he loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In accordance with George’s wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
