George W. Deckert

George W. Deckert, long term resident of Springfield, PA died on 14 January 2023.  He was 95.  He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy and son Terence.  He is survived by daughters Janet Deckert Kraft and Susan Deckert Murphy and son Michael. He was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  George was a proud Marine Corps veteran having served from 1951 until his honorable discharge in 1953.   His professional career included years in the funeral and pharmaceutical businesses.  George and his family were faithful members of St. Dorothy’s Parish in Drexel Hill and he was a long time member of Columbus Club.  George and his family loved spending summers at their home in Longport, New Jersey.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 11:30 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at St. Dorothy's Church, 4910 Township Line Road (corner of Burmont & Township Line Roads), Drexel Hill, PA  19026.  Interment Private.
