Francis (Frank) Rainey, age 78, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2025. Born on March 18, 1946, he was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Fred and Helen Rainey, and his cherished wife of 49 years, Annette Rainey, who was called home just ten days prior. Frank leaves behind his loving children, Lisa Brown (Chip) and Michael Rainey (Jaime), as well as his adored grandchildren: Gabrielle DiGiambattista (Gina), Anthony, Nicholas, Bella, Olivia, and Michael, who were the light of his life.
A man of unwavering devotion, Frank’s world centered around his family. He was the embodiment of a dedicated and loving father and grandfather, whose heart was full of pride and affection for those he held dear. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. A true patriot, he never missed an opportunity to greet a fellow veteran with the words, "Welcome home, soldier," recognizing their shared bond and sacrifices.
For many years, Frank dedicated his life to serving his community as a firefighter, a role he approached with passion and commitment. Even after retirement, the sound of fire sirens would stir something within him, prompting him to cross himself and whisper, "God bless you guys," as he continued to hold a deep respect for his fellow first responders.
Frank will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and infectious humor. His vast collection of joke books provided him with endless material, and he loved nothing more than making those around him laugh. With his sharp sense of humor and no-nonsense attitude, Frank brought light to every room he entered.
Above all, Frank was a man who lived with integrity and love for those who mattered most to him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
