Francis "Frank" Dardine Obituary

Francis (Frank) G. Dardine, of Broomall, PA passed away peacefully after a long, hard fought battle with cancer on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was 75 years old.
Frank was born on January 29, 1950 in Philadelphia to the late Francis and  Bettie Dardine. He grew up in Prospect Park, Pennsylvania and graduated from Interboro High School.
From there, Frank attended Widener University (formerly Pennsylvania Military College (PMC) and Widener College) to begin his lifelong dedication to education. Whether he was in the classroom, at an athletic event, or in his own Principal’s office, Frank always took time to listen and connect with each one of his students and colleagues. He prided himself on the connections he built and the relationships he gained throughout his 38 year educational career.
In 1981, Frank married the love of his life, Donna. They built a beautiful partnership and life together for the past 44 years. Their family quickly grew when they were blessed with three beautiful daughters: Ashlee, Kylee, and Jaime. Frank loved taking his girls to their home in Ocean City, NJ every weekend to ride bikes and spend time on the beach. Frank always said “every day is a beach day!”
While most educators use their summers to relax, Frank managed many swim clubs in the Delaware County area, with St. Albans holding a special place in his heart.  St. Albans wasn’t just a swim club to Frank, it was a home away from home, especially for his girls. It was a place where he mentored and managed so many young adults who often followed in Frank’s educational footsteps. Frank wasn’t just a co-worker or a boss, he valued being a lifelong friend.
As his daughters grew up, Frank, with Donna by his side, spent years traveling from one sports field to the next supporting his daughters’ athletic careers. No flight was too far, nor drive too long to proudly support and cheer for them from the sidelines. He also gave the biggest, most genuine hugs to their teammates along the way. He lived to watch his girls grow and form life-long relationships of their own, doing what they loved.
While Frank was lucky enough to be blessed with daughters, he was promoted to a proud PopPop of six boys: Chase, Brayden, Dalton, Beckett, Kellen, and Brady, and one bookend granddaughter, Blake.  There was nothing he  loved more than having all of his daughters and grandchildren down the shore together making memories in Ocean City, NJ.
Besides living to spend time with his family and friends, Frank also lived for his favorite sports team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He was a lifelong, dedicated fan who proudly watched every down his Eagles played on game day. Go Birds!
During all the meaningful roles Frank held throughout his life, including being a devoted & loving husband, father, PopPop, brother, uncle, friend, and educator, he always led with his faith, grace, quick wit, charm, genuineness, humor, and loving heart. Those lucky enough to know him, always knew his loyalty ran deep and his relationships knew no bounds. To know Frank, was to love Frank.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Donna Dardine, his children, Ashlee Eckert (Andrew Eckert), Kylee Morsink (Kurt Morsink), and Jaime Shuman (Adam Shuman), along with his seven cherished grandchildren: Chase, Brayden, Dalton, Beckett, Kellen, Brady, and Blake, his loving brother Warren Dardine (Karen Dardine) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving Mother Bettie (Iffar) Dardine, and his father Francis Dardine.
In honoring Frank’s wishes, any services held will be private.
