Evelyn Anna Blythe, age 91, passed away peacefully July 15, 2021. She was born September 25, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA to Stanley and Helen Kemp. She married her friend and love, Walter Blythe, in February 1951. who preceded her in death in 2016.
Evelyn loved people, especially her family and the numerous close friends she considered family. She was a founding member of St. Pius X Church in Broomall, PA and while her sons were young she was actively involved in the Broomall Little League and Marple Jr. Tigers.
After raising her children, Evelyn worked at Mutual of NY as an accountant.
Her life was a living example of her dedication to the Blessed Mother. A favorite Bible verse, 1 Peter 3:4: “You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.”
Evelyn is survived by her daughter Eileen B. Moyer and son Joseph W. Blythe (David P. Blythe and James K. Blythe have pre-deceased her); grandchildren Lauren M. Wheeler (Charles), Robert J. Moyer, Carly E. Blythe, David M. Blythe, Frances K. Blythe, Meredith A. Blythe, Robert J. Blythe and Brandon J. Blythe; and great-grandchildren James L. Wheeler and Natalie B. Wheeler. All of these lives she loved and touched deeply.
