Eunice M. Burke (nee Mulligan), age 84, of Clifton Heights, PA. passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020, surrounded by family, at the home of daughter, Maureen Carbonetta. Born in Philadelphia. Formerly of Upper Darby and later moved to Clifton Heights, PA where she resided for over thirty years. Eunice was a graduate of West Catholic High School. Class of 1954. After graduation she began a career of thirty-six years at Bell Telephone (now Verizon) as a directory assistance operator. Once retired she discovered a true passion in taking care of the elderly and helping those in need. She was a caretaker for fifteen years and developed close relationships with those she cared for. Eunice was a parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Church of Drexel Hill, PA. She was a woman of strong faith and dedication to the Catholic Church. Comfort and peace was found in prayer and attending mass regularly. Eunice was a strong Irish woman who believed and practiced her Irish heritage, traditions and hard work ethic. Throughout the years several trips were made to Ireland to visit family and especially her son Danny who resided there. Eunice loved Irish music and talking about Irish customs. She was the matriarch who created a unified and loving family that will last generations to come.
Loving wife of the late Harold Burke (1988) and loving mother BettyAnn Boczar (Mike) of Sewell, NJ., Maureen Carbonetta (Bob) of Mullica Hill NJ., James Quinn (Kathy) of Garnet Valley, PA, Peter Quinn of Naples, FL and the late Daniel Quinn (2014). Also, survived by eleven grandchildren--Michael Boczar, Mark Boczar, Jimmy Quinn, Kelsey Carbonetta, Lauren Quinn, Melissa Quinn, Peter Quinn, Kayla Carbonetta, Stephanie Quinn, Jake Quinn, and Matthew Boczar and two great-grandchildren Daniel Quinn and Michael Boczar. Also survived by her twin sister Elizabeth Taylor of Aston, PA and brother Daniel Mulligan of Carmel, New York. Sister of the late Margaret Mahoney of Sea Isle, NJ.
