Eric Duey Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Raeder Duey announces his passing on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the age of 35.  Born in Suffern, NY on July 13, 1984, Eric enjoyed seven years with his birth mother.  Eric and his brother Bryan joined the Duey family in 1992.  Eric graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Drexel University.  An inventor at heart and early adopter of technology, Eric became an accomplished user experience designer.

A sensitive and artistic soul, he will be forever remembered by his maternal grandmother, Eny Raeder of Rio de Janiero, Brazil; his parents, Marc and Maureen Duey; his brothers Bryan and Matthew; his sisters Marsha (RJ) Snyder, Meredith (Andrew) Krebs-Smith, Madeleine, and Margo; and the Bostock family.  Eric was a loving uncle to Remy Krebs-Smith, Reagan and Warren Snyder and a loving Godfather to Graham Osberg.  Wherever Eric was his constant canine companion, Molly, was never far behind.

After years of struggling with emotional and mental pain, Eric has now found peace and joins his mother, Elisabeth Raeder Prout, in heaven.

A Celebration of Eric’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, at 10:00 a.m., at the Church of the Healing Shepherd (formerly Vincent Baptist Church), 2109 Art School Road, Chester Springs, PA.
