Elizabeth "Betty" Cooke, a cherished soul whose warmth left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at her residence at Riddle Village in Media, PA at the age of 89. Born on July 22, 1935, in Philadelphia, PA, Betty was the youngest daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Bones. Betty is predeceased by her seven older brothers: Thomas, Eugene, Lawrence, John, James, Joseph, and Francis. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Betty was wife of the late Leo Cooke. Together, they explored the world, traveling extensively across the United States and abroad, creating a lifetime of memories. Their love for travel was matched by their appreciation for the arts, they loved classical music and were regular attendees at performances by the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Betty enjoyed dining out, socializing with friends, watching our Philly sports teams, loved Big five basketball and the many activities at Riddle Village.
Aunt Betty was known for her kindness, good nature, intelligence and wonderful sense of humor. Betty’s presence will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 10:30-11:00 A.M. Friday, May 9, 2024 at Nativity, BVM Church, Media, PA 19063 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M.
