Eleanor G. "Trudy" (nee Poupore) Haracz, 84, of West Chester, PA, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and faith.
Born in Windsor, Ontario, Trudy met the love of her life, Richard, on a blind date. Their connection was instant, and they were married for 57 years—a partnership built on unwavering love, respect, and devotion. Together, they raised a family in Philadelphia. Trudy was a devoted mother and an active grandmother, finding joy in the lives of her sons, Richard (Kajsa) and Bob (Anne), and her seven grandchildren—Jane, Lukas, Maja, Nina, Natalie, Andrew, and Joey. She cherished every moment with them, always eager to offer love, guidance, and support.
A passionate educator, Trudy spent over 20 years teaching third grade at St. Margaret’s School in Narberth, PA. Her ability to inspire her students left a lasting impact—always encouraging them to learn, grow, and strive for their best.
Known for her warm and engaging personality, Trudy was a great friend and an exceptional conversationalist. She had a unique ability to make people smile and feel heard. Her comforting presence and unwavering desire to bring joy to others made her a source of solace and happiness for many.
Trudy is survived by her beloved husband Richard, their sons, and grandchildren. She will be profoundly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness, love, and faith will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 9:30-10:45 A.M. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380 followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. at the Church. Interment at a later date.
