Edward J. Morgan, Jr.

After a long illness, Edward J. Morgan Jr., 79, of West Chester , PA, died peacefully at home on February 1, 2020 surrounded by his wife, Rosemary (Mueller) Morgan, of 58 years and his four boys, Ed, Matt, Dave, and Scott.  Beloved son to his late parents, Edward Joseph Morgan, Sr. and Helen Morgan, and eldest sibling to sisters Eileen, Lynn, and Dorothy.

Ed will be sorely missed by his nine grandchildren, Chase, Brooke, Scarlet, Lily, Chloe, Charlie, Brady, Brandon, and Maddie as well as his daughter-in-laws, Vicki, Debbie, Mitchell, and Shane.

Born on April 26, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, Ed was an outstanding athlete for Father Judge High School. After high school, he received a track and field scholarship to Mercersburg Academy and later attended La Salle University. As an adult, Ed curled at the Philadelphia Curling Club from 1977-2020 where he won the prestigious Dykes Award. 
Ed worked in sales with his father and after his father's death he finished his career at Sears. His sales experience enabled him to connect with many people. He was very comfortable to talk to, and those closest to him, know that he was always interested in what you were saying.

As an avid sports fan, Ed had quite a knack for remembering numbers.  You'd be hard pressed to stump him with track and field times as well as baseball stats. 
Over the years Ed owned five Golden Retrievers; Freedom, Liberty, Justice, Uncle Sam, and Benjamin Franklin. Ben was by his side when he died.
Ed vacationed in Ocean City, NJ for over 65 years. His parents owned a house on 2nd Street, and he met his wife, Rosemary, at Bay Shores in Somers Point, NJ.
He was a magician, a prankster, and a loving father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Ed  left us with so many  cherished  memories and funny stories that will continue to be told. 

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 22nd at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA  19380 where friends may call 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. at the Church also.  Interment Private.
