Edna J. Farley

Edna J Farley (nee Malone), loving mother to Mary Kathryn Walsh (Tim), and doting grandmother to Rebecca Walsh (Owen Baker) passed away on Monday, February 16th after an accelerated battle with pulmonary disease.

Survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews and predeceased by her sisters (Patricia Smith, Ginger Juliano, Sharon Hansberry), her parents (Francis “Mike” Malone and Mary McKay) and her former husband (Charles Farley). 

While Philadelphia had always been her home, in 2020 , Edna retired from her more than 30 year career at the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) and  moved to Chester Springs. She quickly settled in near her “baby” enjoying the renovations on her new home and the Chester County food scene. 

Known for her gregarious nature and ability to chat with everyone everywhere, Edna will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Edna’s family asks that she be remembered for the amusement she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. 

The family will receive friends at Logan Funeral Home, 698 East Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA 19341 on Thursday, February 26th from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. 

Welcome, but not necessary,  are flowers and memorial gifts to the “Lung Transplant Research Fund” at the University of Pennsylvania.
