Edgar L. Cope, Jr.

Edgar L. Cope, Jr., 70, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at his home in Exton, PA.  He was the husband of Carmel A. (Cipparone) Cope, father of Geoffrey Cope of West Chester, PA., and grandfather of Mackenzie Cope of Unionville, PA. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Kent Wilkinson of Annapolis, Maryland, his niece, Hillary McGuinn, her husband, David McGuinn and their 3 children, Carly, Tatum and Tessa of Glen Mills, PA, along with his brother-in-law, Gregory Decker, of Chester Springs, PA. He is predeceased by his sister Janice Decker of Chester Springs, PA. Ed was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Born in Philadelphia and growing up in West Mt. Airy, he was the son of Edgar L., Sr. and Elizabeth W. (Wentz) Cope. He attended Germantown High School and Pace College.

Ed had an avid interest in the stock market and spent over 25 years as a securities trader on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange. After leaving the Exchange, and pursuing other avenues within the financial services industry, he maintained his ardent interest in the stock and financial markets.

Service and interment private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
