Donald Consul Obituary

Donald R. Consul, known affectionately to all as Pop and Pops, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Media, Pennsylvania, at the age of 94. Born June 30, 1931, in Philadelphia, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who lived a life marked by love, faith, service, and creativity.

Donald was predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years, Joan K. Consul, and cherished daughter-in-law, Barbara Consul. Donald's legacy continues through his loving children, Don (Joan), Sherry (John), Diane (Paul), Bob, and Jeff (Joni), as well as his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Chelsea, Courtney, PJ, Matt, Lindsay, and Jake, and his eleven great-grandchildren, who will forever hold memories of their Pop-Pop close to their hearts.

A proud Army veteran, Donald served his country with honor before pursuing a career as a stained-glass color artist. His work reflected not only remarkable skill but also his deep appreciation for beauty and light, leaving a lasting impression on all who experienced it.

Donald's interests were as vibrant and varied as the stained glass he so skillfully crafted. An avid fisherman, he found peace and joy in the quiet moments by the water. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's ebbs and flows with grace and resilience. Pop's love for singing was well known; he had a beautiful voice that would echo through the hallways of Fair Acres, lifting spirits and bringing smiles wherever he went.

To know Donald was to know a man who embodied love in every aspect of his life. He was a beacon of faith and joy to all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His spirit, so full of life and passion, will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

As we bid farewell to Donald R. Consul, we celebrate a life lived to the fullest, marked by a legacy of love, artistry, and the sweet melodies that will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who loved him. He has left behind a world more colorful and joyful for his presence, and the memories of his love and laughter will continue to inspire and comfort us all.
