Diane Marie (DeStefano) Lowe

On Monday, March 1, 2021, Diane Lowe, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at the age of 74.

Diane was born on July 16, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to Armond and Helen (Burton) DeStefano. Soon after marrying her husband Stanley, Diane committed herself to raising her sons Stan and Tom.

Diane was an only child, but her Aunt Betty essentially served as the older sister that she never had. Betty would take her on fun adventures to New York City and Philadelphia that she loved to recollect and tell stories about.

One of Diane's favorite pastimes was visiting Ocean City, NJ. Many of her summer vacations were spent at the family's favorite house on 3rd Street. Their most eventful stay was in 1967 when Diane's husband had to race her all the way back home from Ocean City to Delaware County Memorial Hospital so she could give birth to her first son, Stan. They made it just in time.

Diane's world was her children. She loved being a mom. She encouraged their passions and took pride in having raised the men they have become. One of Tom's fondest memories is when his mom surprised him with tickets to see his favorite band KISS when he was 11. It would be the greatest night of his young life.

Diane discovered herself to be a cat person in 2001 when the family adopted Snickers. Diane just adored that cat. While Snickers passed in 2012, she will be joining Diane on her journey to Heaven by her request.

In recent years, she loved to wake up early each morning and join her friends for breakfast at McDonald's in Clifton Heights. She hated to miss a day and would endure some of the worst weather conditions just to spend her morning hours talking with her friends.

Diane was preceded in death by her father, Armond, and her mother, Helen. She is survived by her husband Stanley and her children Stan and Tom.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 11-11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, March 10th at the Logan Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Road, Havertown, PA  19083 followed by an 11:30 A.M. Funeral Service at the Funeral Home also.  Interment Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA  19064.
