Diane Howe Obituary

Diane F. (nee Giello) Howe passed away March 10, 2021 at the age of 78.  Born January 16, 1943 she was the daughter of the late Elise and Salvatore Giello.  Diane was a 1960 graduate of West Catholic High School.  She worked at the Yeadon Library and later retired from Chubb Insurance.

Diane enjoyed many things in life.  She had a heart of gold and a laugh that could be heard for days.  She loved going to movies and watching television, especially General Hospital and The Crown.  She enjoyed watching the Philadelphia Eagles and then asking her sons “what went wrong?” after each loss.  She loved Princess Diana, vacationing at North Wildwood, trips to Disney World, Minnie Mouse, playing tennis, summer days at the pool, traveling, dancing and having a good time.

Diane always looked forward to spending time with her friends, including her coffee and card groups.  She loved taking bus trips with their closest of friends and hosting super bowl parties.  She could befriend anyone and loved doing things socially.

Above all else, Diane loved her family and always put them first.  She took every opportunity she had to spend time with her five grandchildren.  She never missed any of her children’s sporting events as they were growing up and that carried into attending as many things for her grandchildren as possible.  She was always cheering them on at their sporting events and supported them in all their school functions and programs.

She truly enjoyed life to its fullest and loved everyone who was blessed to be in it.

Diane is survived by her husband, three children, five grandchildren, a brother, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.  Diane was a loving wife of 52 years, to John “Jack” Howe.   Was a loving mother of John (Michelle) Howe, Kim Megill (Chris Edwards), and Bubba (Mandy) Howe.  A loving Mom-Mom to Emma, Sophia, Melinda, Jackson and Hadley. Loving sister to Salvatore Giello, Marie Corrigan and Elizabeth Giello.
