Conchetta M. (Pepe) DeFrancesco
October 11, 1942 – March 17, 2026
Conchetta was born on October 11, 1942 at only 2 lbs, 1oz. to Sam and Rita Pepe. She lived until age 83 when passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. She is survived by three children, seven grandchildren, many cousins and good friends.
Conchetta, also known as Connie, Chet, and in later years, Mimi, was raised in Southwest Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School in 1960. Following high school she worked for Bell Telephone. She married Joe DeFrancesco in 1965 and resided in King of Prussia.
Conchetta later worked for Upper Merion School District, including many years at Roberts Elementary School. She often spoke of how much she enjoyed assisting with the special needs children, dressing in costume for Halloween, and filling in at the Nurse’s office. In addition to working at school, she served as a chiropractic assistant at night and weekends until she retired in 2005. After retirement, Conchetta and Joe moved to Exton.
Conchetta’s passion was hosting meals, crafting and giving gifts to family and friends. She loved giraffes and cardinals, and enjoyed displaying her collections.
Mimi will be deeply missed by her husband, Joe; daughter, Melissa; son-in-law, Andy; and grandchildren, Mikenna, Nolan and Bella.
In lieu of flowers, Conchetta had requested donations be made to Penn State THON, which raises money to combat childhood cancer. To donate, please contact Joe DeFrancesco for details.
