Clare Sherlock Obituary

Clare “Dolly” A. (nee Long) Sherlock, age 67, of Hatfield passed away peacefully at home on September 13, 2025.  

She was born in Roxborough, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Harry J. and Agnes (nee Miazga) Long.  A graduate of Archbishop Prendergast (‘76) and Bryn Mawr Nursing School (‘79).  She dedicated her life to nursing.  A role that reflected her compassion, kindness, and dedication to helping those in need; concluding her career at Doylestown Hospital.  An active member of the church, she was a member of the Lansdale Presbyterian Church, whose congregation was like a second family to her.

Preceded in death By her father Harry J. Long Sr., mother Agnes M. Long, brothers Vincent J. Long and Joseph E. Long

Survived by her loving husband Harry M. Sherlock Jr.; Sons,  Harry M. Sherlock III (Victoria) of Thornhurst, PA, Stephen A. Sherlock (Kathryn) of Hatfield, PA,  Adam J. Sherlock (Charmaine) of Fort Worth, TX; Brothers, Harry J. Long of Broomall, PA, John M. Long of Glenolden, PA and James J. Long of Drexel Hill, PA.  Also survived by her 6 wonderful grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 10-11:00 AM Friday, September 19, 2025 at Lansdale Presbyterian Church,  450 Oak Park Rd, Hatfield, PA 19440 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M.  Interment immediately following at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
