Charles Tustin Obituary

Charles A. Tustin

November 13, 1960 – July 23, 2020

Charles Anceney Tustin, 59, of Elverson, PA, passed away on July 23, 2020. He was the son of the late Aline B (nee Bowling) and Clinton Edward Tustin of Havertown, PA.

Chuck is survived by his soulmate and wife of 34 years, Ninette F (nee Friscia); two sons, Clinton Henry, 27, and Joseph Augustus, 25; and his brother Stephen. He is predeceased by his sister Kathryn T (Tustin) Kramen.

Chuck grew up in the Westgate Hills neighborhood of Havertown and graduated from Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield, PA. He was married in 1986, and moved to Chester County shortly after to raise his family.

Chuck’s warm smile, kind and considerate nature, and easy-going manner will be remembered by all who knew him. He was a loving husband and proud father, and he was happiest when the family was together at home.

Chuck loved nature and being outdoors; he was a true woodsman. He was an incredibly hard-worker and his favorite past time was doing chores around his wooded property. When Chuck wanted to relax, he enjoyed riding his Harley on beautiful country roads or cruising in his Jeep Wrangler. The Florida coastline also held a special place in his heart.

Chuck had a deep knowledge of cars and was known for his quality workmanship as a master auto body technician. Friends and family often turned to him for advice on how to fix things, and he always enjoyed offering a helpful opinion. Chuck also had a passion for history, and he frequently shared facts that made for interesting conversation. His Welsh heritage was a source of pride for him.

A private funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at St. Peter Catholic Church, West Brandywine, PA. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Please raise a glass to Chuck to send him on his way, and consider planting something to honor his memory. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chuck’s name to Gift of Life Donor Program.
