Charles Baily, Jr. Obituary

Charles E. Baily Jr., aka Buddy, Chuck, Papá, age 79, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, May 22, 2021.  Chuck was born on March 15, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, to Charles E. Baily Sr. and Elizabeth Clattenburg and raised in Williamstown, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Kathy (nee Soulas) and his son Christopher (Rebecca) and his daughter Jennifer Scotti (Marc), and his 4 grandchildren, Jordan, Brooke, Nathan and Connor.  He is also survived by his sister Betty Cortesi and his brother Stephen.

Chuck proudly served in the U.S. Army for 4 years stationed in Germany during the Berlin Crisis and had the opportunity to travel broadly during those years.

After the service, Chuck married and relocated to Upper Darby, PA where he raised his family and enjoyed golfing, family vacations, football Sundays and long walks with his beloved dog, Kodie.  He was also actively involved in the Order of Knights of Pythias and had a 40 year career in the tire industry.

He retired to Skippack, PA to be closer to his children and their families. He enjoyed fishing, boating and attending many of his grandchildren’s events.  He also volunteered at the Elmwood Park Zoo.

Anyone who knew Chuck knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for.
