Carolyn DiPilato Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Ann DiPilato on March 8, 2025, in Coatesville, PA, at the age of 74. Born on December 20, 1950, in Port Chester, NY, Carolyn was a testament to a life well-lived, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

Carolyn's early years were spent in Mamaroneck, NY, where her kind and giving nature was evident from a young age. She was a proud graduate of Mamaroneck High School, where she formed many friendships that lasted her entire life. Her educational journey laid the foundation for her successful career at IBM and later at Bunt & Associates, where she was cherished for her hard work and dedication to her customers.

Carolyn was the beloved daughter to Flora and the late John Datino and grew up as the middle child of seven siblings (Charlie, Rosemary, Pete, Nancy, Joanne and the late John), who she loved greatly. Carolyn met Frank DiPilato, the love of her life and beloved husband of over 50 years, at age 16.  The cherished mother of Stephen DiPilato (Jen) and Erica Schneider (Brian), Carolyn's devotion to her family was unwavering. Her role as "Grandma" to Justin, Gloria, Dean, Reid, and Cameron was one she treasured deeply, and her guidance and affection will always be a guiding light for them.

Known for her strong-willed spirit and selfless nature, Carolyn brought comfort and joy to many. Her talents in the kitchen were legendary, especially her cookies, which were often declared the best around. Her love for cooking and baking was only matched by her passion for making all those around her feel loved.  She always infused great love into the small, everyday moments.

Her legacy of love and selflessness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Carolyn's family takes solace in knowing that she is now at peace after her courageous battle with cancer. Her grace and strength during her illness were a true reflection of her character, and she faced each day with the same love and faith that defined her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UPenn Abramson Cancer Center (http://givingpages.upenn.edu/rememberingCarolynDiPilato) in honor of Carolyn and her desire to give back to those who support others.  A memorial mass will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday March 18th at Holy Name of Jesus church in Valhalla, NY.
