Carol Ann (Kalinke) Sannella

Carol Ann (née Kalinke) Sannella, 82, of Havertown, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Sannella.

Born in Philadelphia on August 2, 1943, Carol was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (née Roughneen) Kalinke.

Carol was everybody’s friend. She was the person that everyone gravitated to due to her warm personality, witty humor, infectious storytelling and positivity. She loved her family and friends deeply and enjoyed countless hours with them playing cards and games, especially Yahtzee and Scrabble. She also loved the time she got to spend with family in her favorite place, Narragansett, Rhode Island. Carol enjoyed all aspects of life but she especially took pleasure in sunsets. It would be fitting when you witness a colorful sunset that you think of her.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Jill Ellison (née Sannella) and her husband, Chris; her granddaughters, Rebecca C. Ellison and her fiancé, Cody Young, and Audrey E. Ellison; and her great-granddaughter, Hazel Ellis Young. She is also survived by her sister, Peg Singer (née Kalinke), wife of the late Don Singer; her brother, Frank Kalinke and his wife, Pam; her sister-in-law, Helen Kalinke, wife of the late Joe Kalinke; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Carol was predeceased by her son , David A. Sannella; brothers, Joe Kalinke and John Kalinke, and by her sister-in-law, Cathy Kalinke.

Family and friends will be received Friday, March 13, 2026 from 9:30am to 10:15am at St. Anastasia Roman Catholic Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Mass will be celebrated in church on Friday at 10:30am. Burial is private.
