Carmen J. Saia

Carmen J. Saia of East Goshen Pennsylvania passed away on December 10, 2024. Carmen would have been 89 on December 14th. He is survived by his wife Pat, his sister Marie (Gallagher) and adoring nieces, nephews and friends. Carmen was truly a Renaissance man. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of opera, jazz, literature, politics and the visual arts. Carmen was perhaps the most knowledgeable person about all things that were Philadelphia; from politics to history to sports. Carmen knew the backstory and could recount dozens of amazing stories about the city of his birth. Carmen had a love for animals, boating, water skiing and country living. Over the last 40 years Carmen perfected his signature homemade flavored grappa that he shared at holiday gatherings. Everyone who knew Carmen recognized him as a master chef. He loved preparing gastronomic feasts for his family and friends. The attention and devotion he put into preparing every menu, one that seemed to never end, was a testament to the love that he had for all those he served. He touched so many people’s lives. “Carm” will be sorely missed by all of those that knew and loved him.Carmen J. Saia passed away on December 10, 2024.   

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 17th at Ss. Philip & James Church, 723 E. Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA  19341 where friends may call 10 - 11:00 A.M. at the Church.  Interment immediately following at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA  19064.
