Beverly Lewis Hill Brizendine
Beverly Brizendine, 87, of Chadds Ford, PA, formerly of Pasadena/Houston, TX and, more recently, DeQueen, AR, passed away peacefully at home on January 17, 2026 after a recent fall and lung cancer diagnosis.
Born on March 16, 1938 in Pulaski, TN, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Hill and Wylodine (Martin) Hill. She is survived by her daughters Angela Duffy (David) of Chadds Ford and Beverly Jo Wade (David) of Pearland, TX as well as a step-son, Richard Brizendine (Paula) of Houston, TX along with four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas M. Hill, her husband Earl W. Brizendine and her son, Raymond E. Brizendine.
Affectionately known as “Blue Grandma”, she will be remembered for her love of all things blue, from clothing to the color of her door. She enjoyed reading, working crosswords, playing slot machines and watching reality television. Since moving to Chadds Ford two years ago, she added watching the deer, foxes, groundhogs and other wildlife to her favorite activities.
Celebrations of Beverly’s life will be held in both Houston and DeQueen (dates TBD). Donations can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Penn Medicine Hospice
