Bentley C. Walker

Bentley C. Walker passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2026 at the age of 91.  Loving and devoted husband of the late Josephine (née Gentile) for 64 years  and son of the late William B. and Harriette R. (née Zinn) Walker.  .  Treasured father of Lisa Matthews (Paul), Bill (the late Kristin Sanner), Karen Shields, and Debbie DeBenedictis (Joe).  Cherished grandfather of Ryan Matthews (Chelsea), Courtney Tyler (Jeff), Leah Bradley (Bill), Cody Shields (Kim), Jordan Shields, Anna Edler (John), Sara Seymour (Owen) and Isaac Walker.  Loving great-grandfather of Jeffrey Tyler, Ruby Bradley, Joey Tyler, Otis Bradley and Brooklyn Matthews.

Bentley and Jo raised their family in their beloved home in Havertown, where they lived for 55 years before moving to Wesley Enhanced Living in 2018.

In retirement, Bentley and Jo enjoyed spending time at their cabin in the Endless Mountains, where Bentley was especially fond of hunting and fishing. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was an avid golfer and lifelong dog lover. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family.

Our dad was a man of quiet strength, unwavering love, and steadfast devotion to those he held dear. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, Bentley's family suggests making a donation to your local SPCA or animal shelter.
