Barbara Gorman Obituary

Barbara (nee McFadden) Gorman, age 79, born and raised in the Devil’s Pocket entered into eternal life on January 13, 2021. Barbara is the beloved wife of David Gorman and loving mother of John (Michele) Brady. She is the grandmother of Kaylee Rose and Nicholas Brady. Daughter of the late John and Mary McFadden. Loving sister of Teresa (Jack) Burke, and sister-in-law of Cookie McFadden. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and James McFadden. She is survived by her niece Angelique Burke (Dennis Carey), nephew James (Jennifer) Burke and great nieces Jenna and Jessica Burke. Sadly missed by numerous relatives and friends.

Barbara enjoyed working many years side by side with her brother, John in his corner store. When the store closed, she went to work at South Square Market in their deli department. She loved talking to all of the people in the neighborhood. She enjoyed spending holidays with her family, especially Christmas Eve with Santa’s special visit.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 12, 2021 at St. Gabriel’s Church,  2917 Dickenson Street, Philadelphia where friends may call 9:30 - 10:45 A.M. at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Barbara's name.
