Barbara J. (Ackert) Consul

Barbara J. Consul, 66, of Chadds Ford, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Brandywine at Longwood-Kennett Square.  She was the wife of Robert W. Consul, to whom she was married for 41 years.  Born in Lower Merion Twp, Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Walter E., III and Jean A. (Wuest) Ackert.  Barbara enjoyed visiting the Outer Banks, hanging out with her Black Friday friends and spending time with her dogs.  She especially loved spending time with her family.  In addition to her husband, Barbara is survived by several nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her brother, Walter “Skip” Ackert.  Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Donations may be made in memory of Barbara to the Brandywine Valley SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
