Barbara R. (Rittenhouse) Bennett

Barbara R., “Bobbie”, age 93, a resident of Broomall, passed away on March 25, 2025. Loving mother of Cindee L. Dove (Jamie). Predeceased in 2023 by daughter Kimberly D. Bassett, in 1972, husband, William E. Bassett, and in 2006, husband Richard L. Bennett. Originally from Norristown, Bobbie graduated from Norristown High School in 1950 and then went on to graduate from West Chester State Teachers College in 1954 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Bobbie moved to Broomall in 1960 and was a life-long resident. She taught elementary school for over 20 years in the Marple Newtown School District. After retiring from teaching, she enjoyed traveling the world with family and friends and most of all enjoyed the sun and the beach. One of her most favorite destinations was Ocean City, NJ. She was a kind and compassionate person who genuinely loved people and animals. She embodied her favorite motto: Live, Love, Laugh. Please join Barbara's family on Wed. April 2, at Logan Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd. Broomall PA 19008, from 11:00am to 12:00pm for visitation. Service to celebrate Barbara's life at 12:00 noon. Interment private at a later date.
