Ayanna Saran Fields

Ayanna Saran Fields, age 29, of Drexel Hill, passed away suddenly on May 30, 2021.  Beloved and adored daughter of Clinton T. and Michele P. Fields.  Loving sister of Amani and Anaya Fields. Ayanna was also survived by Grandmother Gloria Gaskin and Patricia Jerome, Great Grandmother June Fields, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. 

Ayanna, affectionately known as Yanni, was a beautiful soul who accomplished a lot in the short time she was on this earth. Ayanna graduated from the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA in 2010. While attending the Academy of Notre Dame, she participated in both indoor and outdoor Track and Field. Ayanna competed in track and field from age nine and was trained by her father Clinton T. Fields. By the time she entered high school, she was already an accomplished track and field athlete. Ayanna qualified for the Pennsylvania indoor state championship all four years of high school, earning her first indoor state medal as a sophomore. Ayanna consistently made the Pennsylvania top ten female track and field athletes as well as being nationally ranked. Just before Ayanna's senior year in high school, she was being recruited by several D1 Universities including Villanova, University of Connecticut, University of Houston, University of Maryland College Park, and many more. Ayanna ultimately accepted a full scholarship from the University of Maryland College Park where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Science. After graduating college, Ayanna went on to be a government contractor for The National Institute of Health, and later, The Department of Homeland Security. 

Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation 10-11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home, 57 S. Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083 followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered at 4014 Cedar Lane, Drexel Hill PA, 19026.
