Obituary

Anthony Richard Webb, a talented and accomplished architect, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023, in Pocopson, Pa. Born on June 27, 1942, in Levin, New Zealand, Anthony lived a full and rewarding life, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him and the communities he helped shape through his work.

Anthony's passion for learning led him to further his education at the University of British Columbia and Carnegie Mellon University. It was through this pursuit of knowledge that he honed his skills and became an award-winning, self-employed architect. Over the years, Anthony designed numerous residential and commercial projects, each reflecting his unique vision and commitment to excellence. His innovative designs and attention to detail earned him a well-deserved reputation within his field, and his work will continue to inspire future generations of architects.

In addition to his impressive professional accomplishments, Anthony was a man of many interests and talents. He was an avid pilot, spending countless hours in the skies above, exploring the world from a unique perspective. His love for flight was matched only by his passion for sailing, as he spent many weekends on Marsh Creek Lake and at times on the Chesapeake Bay.  Anthony's adventurous spirit was evident in all aspects of his life, and he relished the opportunity to share his passions with others.

Music also held a special place in Anthony's heart, as he was an active member of his local choir. His rich, resonant voice could often be heard harmonizing with others, bringing joy to all who listened.

Anthony's sense of humor was one of his most endearing qualities, and his appreciation for Monty Python comedy was well known among his friends and family. He often shared his favorite sketches and quotes, delighting in the laughter they brought to those around him. His infectious laughter and ability to find humor in even the most challenging situations will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Throughout his life, Anthony Richard Webb was a shining example of dedication, passion, and kindness. He touched the lives of countless individuals, both personally and professionally, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he left behind. As we reflect on Anthony's life, let us remember the joy he brought to others, the laughter he shared, and the beautiful spaces he created through his brilliant architectural designs. Rest in peace, Anthony – your legacy will continue to inspire us all.
