Anna Marie (Sekel) Albert

Anna Marie (Sekel) Albert of North Wildwood, NJ formerly of Grays Ferry passed away on January 15, 2026 at the age of 83.  Beloved wife of the late Robert (Bo) Albert.  Loving mother of Anne Marie Gaul and Sharon & Jim Waters.  Cherished Gram of Meghan (Paul) Wehausen, Tommy (Kylie) Gaul, Jimmy (Ciarra) Waters, Stephen Waters and Bernie Harkins.  Great Gram of Andrew, Addison, Owen, Anneliese, Genevieve, Tommy and Slone.  Her parents, James and Clara Sekel blessed her with many siblings - Joan McCluskey, Jeanette Sewack, Jack Sekel and the late Claire McGee, Jim Sekel, Marge Cooke and Helen Byrne.  She is also survived by many brothers- and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. 

Anna Marie grew up in South Philadelphia and was a graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School. She married the love of her life, Bo, on September 29, 1962. Bo & Anna Marie raised their daughters on the 1400 block of Newkirk Street, where she enjoyed many block parties, sweeping out front and sitting on the porch with her neighbors. She worked for many years at Reliance Insurance Company where she made lifelong friends.  After Anna retired, she enjoyed spending time at the shore with her daughters and their families.  In 2015 she permanently relocated to her home in North Wildwood to care for her husband.  She tended to him tirelessly until his death in 2020.  After her husband’s death, Anna filled her time making memories with her great grandchildren.  She loved her home in North Wildwood where she decorated for every occasion. Her neighbors at the shore became like family and often looked after her.  She loved when her family came to visit and spend time with her at the shore.  Anna will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at St. Gabriel Church, 29th & Dickinson Sts., Philadelphia, PA 19146.

Friends may call from Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at St. Gabriel Church.

Interment will be held at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery following the Funeral Mass.
