Angelica "Angel" Irene Henderson, 77, of Malvern, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Earl Henderson.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Angel was the eldest daughter of the late John J. and Christine K. (Erdmann) Butler. She graduated from North Pocono High School, earned her Registered Nursing Degree from Albert Einstein Hospital, and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Life Science from Philadelphia College.
Angel had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying activities such as hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, skiing, snowmobiling, and gardening. A dedicated Master Gardener, she earned her certification from Penn State and actively participated in community educational programs. Her passion for quilting shone through her membership in the Penn Oaks Quilting Guild, where she created many beautiful quilts, reflecting her artistic spirit. Angel had a deep love for animals and frequently fostered kittens, providing them with a nurturing home until they were ready for adoption.
Professionally, Angel worked as a Registered Nurse, served as Director of Nursing at a geriatric facility, managed catastrophic injuries through her own business, and worked as a technician in the medical device industry.
Angel’s legacy lives on through her devoted husband, Earl; her son David and daughter-in-law Heather; her son Steven; her treasured grandchildren, Noah and Will; and her sister, Caroline. She was predeceased by her brothers, Gregory and John Michael.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the Logan Funeral Home, 698 E. Lincoln Highway, Exton, PA 19341. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angel’s memory to Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue, 489 Church Road, Avondale, PA 19311.
Angel’s warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
