Adalina "Addy" Scornajenghi, 91, of Bryn Mawr, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 8th, 2022 at Saunders House in Wynnewood. She was the loving wife of the late Armando Scornajenghi, Sr.
Born in Philadelphia on September 24th, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Concetta (nee Mannino) and Carmelo Parico. She graduated from Bartram High School in Philadelphia and entered the workforce as a bookkeeper in the garment and clothing industry. During her long career, she was a loyal and hardworking employee for The Carriage Trade, Z & H Transport and Mediquip among others.
Addy met her soulmate Armando on a blind date in 1958 and they were happily married for over 41 years. Addy raised her children and spent most of her married life living in Springfield, PA. She loved to travel, do puzzles, dance and make friends everywhere she went. Most of all, she loved her family and became a second mom to many. She was always volunteering and contributing to her church and her community up until the age of 91. While living at The Mansion at Rosemont, she was the treasurer for the Friendship Fund and managed the Beau Pres Shop. Addy was a devoted member of the St. Kevin's Parish in Springfield.
Surviving are her two children, Linda M. (nee Scornajenghi) Berke and her husband Raymond of Farmingdale, NY and Armando "Dino" Scornajenghi and his wife, Lainie (nee Ballas) of Ardmore; four grandchildren, Steven Scornajenghi of Ardmore and Taylor, Raymond (Samantha) and Timothy of Farmingdale, NY and great grandchildren, Hannah and Riley Berke.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Addy is predeceased by her siblings, Sarah Pancari, Carmen Parico, Rosario (Sam) Parico, Carmela (Millie) Bennett and Amelia (Amy) Toy.
A visitation for Addy will be Saturday, August 13th, 2022 from 11:30am to 12:30pm in Logan Videon Funeral Home, 2001 Sproul Rd., Broomall, PA 19008. A graveside committal will follow in Ss. Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA 19064. The funeral mass will be Saturday, August 27th, 2022 at 1pm in St. Kevin Parish, 200 W Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
