Interment Private

William L Mattis III, died suddenly early Saturday morning, September 30, 2017.
Will was born April 16, 1993 in Upper Darby, PA where he continued to reside during his lifetime. He worked as a Director, General Manager, Coach, and many other roles in all areas of sports but most specifically in the world of football.
Will always worked for the family business (AllStarInc) and helped create an indoor football team called the ASI Panthers.  The Panthers played at the semi-pro level in the Philadelphia PA area and then played professionally in Reading, PA for one season.
Will was instrumental in helping many young men live their dream of playing football at the college or professional level.
When he wasn't on the field, he loved spending time with his entire family. He loved taking his daughter, Emma, to the park, watching her at her own sporting events and making up songs with her. Although Elizabeth is very young, her smile lit up the room when she spotted her daddy. Will also had a knack for photography.  Emma was always his primary model.
He will forever be loved and missed by all who were close to him.
He is survived by wife, Stephanie Mattis, his 2 daughters, Emma Nicole Mattis and Elizabeth Grace Mattis, his mother and father, Francine and William (Bill) Mattis Jr., paternal grandmother, Jill Marberger, paternal grandfather, William Mattis Sr. (Diane), maternal grandmother, Patricia Price, maternal grandfather, Ralph Dickson (Erma), sister, Christine Mattis, brother John (Jack) Mattis, his uncle, Douglas Mattis, his aunt and uncle, Teresa and Ralph (Brent) Dickson, and 2 cousins, Zachary and Eli Dickson.
On Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, a receiving line will be held from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, followed by a short service beginning at 8:30 PM  at the Logan Funeral Home.  This event is open to anyone who would like to come pay their respects for Will. A private burial will take place at a later date.
On Sunday 10/8 an additional informal event will be conducted at the Drexel Hill Middle School Football Field from 10 AM to Noon. We're calling this "The last ASI Panthers practice for Will" and all of his football (and other sports) family will be asked to come out one last time to remember Will Mattis together as a group..
Anybody who was associated with Will in any football activity (ASI Panthers player, Coach, opponent, fan, football family members, or any person associated with his scouting activities and other events) or any other sport too are encouraged to come out and come together to remember Will.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the GoFundMe collection established to help with final expenses and to assist his two little girls.
